Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-volume-manager
hi, my volume-control-slide changes the volume on the wrong "channel" on my laptop Dell Inspiron 9200. This is my soundcard: Multimedia audio controller: Intel Corporation 82801DB/DBL/DBM (ICH4/ICH4-L/ICH4-M) AC'97 Audio Controller (rev 01) The problem seems to be that the notebook has 4 speakers - 2 for high and 2 for low frequencies. The Master-slide in gnome-valume-control changes the 2 speakers for the high frequencies. The low frequencies are changed by the Master-Mono-slide. So if I want to change the volume I always have to change both slides or use the PCM-slide. Is there a way to define that the slide in the gnome-panel should map to the PCM-channel? Is using the PCM-slide the intended way to use my soundcard or is the real master-slide not detected? thanx. ** Affects: gnome-volume-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- volume-slide controls wrong channel https://launchpad.net/bugs/70779 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
