but these packagers should ask theirself for the sense of packages. Is it only to make complicated software easily to install, or ist it for installing every application. I think the last thing is the sense of a package managing system. Otherwise we could do the same thing as on windows machienes, just put the apps on the system, and never get rid of them. But this would, of course, make shared libraries impossible.
