This is not an Ubuntu specific bug. I did some more testing with other distributions and they both trigger the same bug (with slightly different error messages): - Fedora 10 beta x86_64 (Kernel 2.6.27) - openSUSE 11.0 i386 (Kernel 2.6.25)
So I guess this bug has been introduced in 2.6.25.
