Changed the bug title to something a little more direct.

doko, I'm not sure who the person is who did the Ubuntu packages, nor am
I sure where they kept their dsc files.

It would be great if who-ever is going to mind bumping the 2.x java-
gnome packages for Ubuntu would stop by #java-gnome on gimpnet from time
to time so we can touch base and co-ordinate. It's rather difficult
trying to help Ubuntu users when I have no communication with the people
at Canonical doing the packaging on the wrong versions.

** Summary changed:

- Current version of libglib-java in edgy is incompatible to the other packages
of the java-gnome project
+ java-gnome packages in Edgy are all incorrect

** Description changed:

+ GNOME release team got a bit out of sync with the java-gnome hackers,
+ and as a result what someone at Ubuntu packaged up is in an inconsistent
+ state.
+
+ Original reporter notes:
+
  Binary package hint: libglib-java

  The current version of libglib-java 0.3.2 is incompatible to rest of the
  packages of the gnome-java project. Therefore libglib-java needs to be
  updated to 0.4. Also I strongly recommend to update all packages of
  gnome-java projects to the version recommended in the gnome-java 2.16.0
  release to ensure stability.

  This is a major issue, because java bindings like they're now in Edgy
  are not functional.

  These are the affected packages and the versions, which are recommended by
java-gnome 2.16.0 release:
      * glib-java 0.4.0
      * cairo-java 1.0.6
      * libgtk-java 2.10.0
      * libgnome-java 2.12.6
      * libglade-java 2.12.7
      * libgconf-java 2.12.5
      * libvte-java 0.12.2
