I just discovered I do not have linux-restricted-modules installed, but
my kernel's version of that package is installed. Just a note to avoid
any confusion.
I have the following :
$ apt-cache policy linux-restricted-modules-2.6.24-20-generic
linux-restricted-modules-2.6.24-20-generic:
Installed: 2.6.24.14-20.46
Candidate: 2.6.24.14-20.46

Just installed the linux-restricted-modules package as well (appears to
be a metapackage) :
