Public bug reported: Binary package hint: libmono0
A few days ago, I notice that beagle-seach had stopped working. Running it from the command line gave this output: ================================================================= Got a SIGSEGV while executing native code. This usually indicates a fatal error in the mono runtime or one of the native libraries used by your application. ================================================================= Stacktrace: Native stacktrace: /usr/lib/libmono.so.0(mono_handle_native_sigsegv+0xe3) [0x400a143f] /usr/lib/libmono.so.0 [0x4006303e] /lib/libpthread.so.0 [0x4029c5ca] [0xffffe440] [0x407bb58a] [0x407bb529] [0x407bb173] [0x407b1816] /usr/lib/libmono.so.0 [0x40080438] /usr/lib/libmono.so.0(mono_runtime_invoke+0x33) [0x400e2eed] /usr/lib/libmono.so.0(mono_runtime_class_init+0x13f) [0x400e512f] /usr/lib/libmono.so.0 [0x4008016e] /usr/lib/libmono.so.0(mono_compile_method+0x24) [0x400e3225] /usr/lib/libmono.so.0(mono_magic_trampoline+0x1f) [0x400b7b1f] [0x40539032] [0x407bae12] [0x407badb1] [0x407b8ecc] [0x407b8e3e] [0x407b841c] [0x407b108d] [0x407b0823] /usr/lib/libmono.so.0 [0x40080438] /usr/lib/libmono.so.0(mono_runtime_invoke+0x33) [0x400e2eed] /usr/lib/libmono.so.0(mono_runtime_exec_main+0x67) [0x400e5a88] /usr/lib/libmono.so.0(mono_runtime_run_main+0x188) [0x400e8bf0] /usr/lib/libmono.so.0(mono_jit_exec+0x90) [0x40092b5e] /usr/lib/libmono.so.0(mono_main+0x962) [0x4009354f] /lib/libc.so.6(__libc_start_main+0xa3) [0x4032b31f] beagle-search [0x8048459] Aborted Tomboy does the same while Rhythmbox acts as if the computer was under heavy load to the point where nothing can be done in X except move the mouse around. I tried purging the packages and then reinstalling some of them, but there has been no change. Since there does not appear to be any great outcry on the Ubuntu forums about this and all of these apps had been working just fine several days ago, I presume that there is some software or library or somesuch in my installation which is causing a conflict. Unfortunately, with that output, I have no way of narrowing down the possibilities. It could be an evil install of Nibbles for all I know. ** Affects: mono (Ubuntu) Importance: Untriaged Status: Unconfirmed -- Most apps using libmono0 crash https://launchpad.net/bugs/52057 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
