I cant' really say if this issue still is valid though I found a solution to the problem. I had both kubuntu and ubuntu installed and used kdm as login manager. This caused some options not to show in the Gnome "logout" dialog. I solved this by setting gdm as login manager in some textfile. After that it seems to work as it should.
I could retest this later if you want me to? Another matter here is how tricky the operation of setting the login manager is. I think one should be able to do this somewhere in the GUI. --- mATTIAS öRTENBLAD > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Date: Sun, 28 Sep 2008 21:46:07 +0000 > Subject: [Bug 172770] Re: After I installed kubuntu-desktop the "Shut down" > option no longer shows in the "shut down"-dialog in Gnome. > > is this still an issue? > > ** Changed in: kubuntu-meta (Ubuntu) > Sourcepackagename: None => kubuntu-meta > > -- > After I installed kubuntu-desktop the "Shut down" option no longer shows in > the "shut down"-dialog in Gnome. > https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/172770 > You received this bug notification because you are a direct subscriber > of the bug. _________________________________________________________________ Var sommaren för kort?
