To reproduce, you need some sort of file server -Places>Connect To Server... -connect to any server -open firefox -edit>preferences -under the "Main" tab, select "Always ask me where to save files" -save a file, then when prompted to select a location, select a gvfs volume listed on the left under "places" -notice how nothing happens, and the file was not saved
