** Summary changed: - [Edgy] Sleep + Hibernate fail to work on Dell Inspiron 6000 + [Edgy] Sleep + Hibernate fail to work on system(s) with hot-pluggable emu10k1 cards
** Description changed: + It seems this is due to the emu10k1 driver not unloading properly. It + wasn't designed for hotplug, obviously. + Under Dapper: Running the current Dapper on my Inspiron 6000, and suspend and hibernate fail to work. Hibernate does nothing, while sleep blanks the screen and ejects any PCMCIA card (however no modules are unloaded, see bug 40737) then (on keypress/mouse movement) returns to the desktop. The problem here appears to be a daemon, as when I go to shut-down - having previously issued the Sleep command - the system begins the shut-down process then stops, and sleeps. If I wake it up, the system finishes shutting-down. -- [Edgy] Sleep + Hibernate fail to work on system(s) with hot-pluggable emu10k1 cards https://launchpad.net/bugs/42414 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
