In Alpha 5, the network manager had an option for a Hex password, which is what I use to get online. However, that was gone in Alpha 6. But I could not even access unprotected routers in Alpha 6, which is what is particularly worrisome.
But yours did not connect even in Alpha 5, whereas mine did. Unfortunately, I am not technically inclined and cannot even begin to think why mine worked and yours didn't unless the vendors changed something in the cards. --- On Wed, 9/24/08, mrmaikel <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: From: mrmaikel <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: [Bug 272367] Re: [Intrepid] iwl4965 cannot connect To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Date: Wednesday, September 24, 2008, 10:05 AM I can confirm this bug on my thinkpad t61 using a iwl4965 wlan-card. But I had the same problem on Alpha-5! -- [Intrepid] iwl4965 cannot connect https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/272367 You received this bug notification because you are a direct subscriber of the bug. Status in “linux” source package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: Acer 5920 using a 4965 card cannot connect to the Internet under Ubuntu Alpha 6. Under Alpha 5, upon entering the Hex password for my router, it connected normally. Under Alpha 6, could not connect using my router at all. I tried a second test by trying to access an unprotected router, but not no avail. The network monitor's two green lights would both light up, but never did they finish connecting. -- [Intrepid] iwl4965 cannot connect https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/272367 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
