Andreas, I just installed the .deb package on my Kubuntu 3.5.10. It doesn't clutter the taskbar as much, but I do still see closed applications linger on the Compiz taskbar. Contrary to earlier, they do disappear, but it takes a minute or so. Right now I'm looking at Thunderbird and KTorrent icons which both are closed already. Did you implement a scheduled cleanup of the taskbar? Or is this strange behaviour you would like to look into?
