SYMPTOMS: Boot stops before kinit and just after the following
uvesafb: failed to execute /sbin/v86d
uvesafb: make sure that the v86d helper is installed and executable
uvesafb: Getting VBE info block failed (eax=0x4f00, err=-2)
uvesafb: vbe_init() failed with -22
Once it stops it only starts back up if I hit one of a selection of key
(ctrl, alt, shift,caps lock, etc)
CAUSE:
STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
1/ install ubuntu
2/ this happens
This is only happening on my HP Pavilion dv9657em
