Hi Mitsuya, I think experimental syncs are totally possible, but I'm not sure about filing a new bug. I supose it's the correct way to do it.
Regarding 2.1.x, I plan to add it in Debian once lenny is out. However, I'll wait a bit more before uploading it to unstable as it seems its a bit unsafe for production still.
