Installed Mandriva to see if their driver work. so far i was able to use it just fine both with WPA WEP and Neither (requires the firmware) So i think the problem must be somewhere else not in the driver itself. My guess would be WPA supplicant but not sure how to check. what's the most current version of WPA supplicant?
