Can confirm this bug on Dell Inspiron 9400 ATI x1400 (256M hypermemory thing) 1920x1200 17" WUXGA 2G RAM
Im currently running Dapper btw. Altho for me the kubuntu graphic is ok, but the text corrupts just after initialising the network interfaces. I believe the line is something like 'Saving VESA state'?
