Gutsy & Hardy x86_64 have the same problem. Also, I tried Fedora. Fedora Core 9 x86_64 live CDhas the same problem. Fedora Core 10 x86_64 (the DVD) boots and installs without complaining, but when I try running off the hard drive, it goes into the infinite reboot loop.
So, it's not a regression. If you can tell me how to trace or single step the boot (e.g., with boot parameters), I would be happy to collect and send the information.
