Public bug reported:
If I change from X (F7) to another virtual console, say a virtual
console (F1) or a second X window, X crashes.
Steps to reproduce:
Log-in to Gnome, Press CTRL+ALT+F1
Results:
After some time, I can see the graphical Login Greeter (no console window)
Additional Information:
I also had this Problem with Dapper. It seems to be a driver Problem. I've
already tried using ATI's own xorg driver without having any success.
I'm using a ATI X1700. Software: Ubuntu 6.10 (edgy), xorg Driver "fglrx" or
"ati"
