Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: network-manager

Release: Intrepid Alpha 6 i386 live CD (no updates)
Package (suspected): network-manager 0.7~~svn20080908t183521+eni0
Hardware: Compaq 6720s Centrino Core2Duo laptop and Gateway MX6932b Centrino
Core Duo laptop. Both using Intel 3945ABG wifi chips.
Router: Linksys WRT54GS

Expected: My WPA network to be seen or at least able to connect to

Actual: My WPA network is not listed and cannot force it to connect.
Neighboring WEP networks seen are fine.

Both these laptops work fine in Hardy our of the box. Using the
Intrepid live CD neither can see my WPA encrypted network but can see
neighboring WEP encrypted networks fine. When forcing via. "Connect to
Other Wireless Network..." it repeatedly tries to connect and then asks
me for the WPA password. Never actually full connecting.

** Affects: network-manager (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
