The motherboard is a GIGABYTE GA-EG45M-DS2H.
I installed Alpha 6 on it, and everything went wonderfully until the
desktop screen came up for the first time, and actually that seemed fine
until the desktop top and bottom bars rendered and then the wait cursor
just stopped spinning. And that was that, I could still move the cursor
around, but the system was unresponsive. Couldn't even break out to a
console with ctrl alt f1.
