Many apologises I normally add a footnote at the base it is edgy 32bit.
It didn't detect a serial mouse at all but nor did Dapper I installed it
on my aging server just to see how it ran and I had to rumage around for
ages to find a way to switch on the mouse.  It turn out that the correct
way is to change "/dev/mouse" = "/dev/ttyS1" and "psmouse" = "microsoft"
