Not really its more about profit. More people use windows so in turn people 
want to ride along on the train to hell for profit.

And I know from personal experience that they teach programming in visual basic 
in some colleges only because windows is popular. This is a quote from my 
programming lecturer 
"In a perfect world we all would use Linux but the world isnt perfect" (at 
least not yet)
