This is not right. The N95 has 4 operation modus: PC Suite, Data transfer, Image Print and Media player. The USB vendor:product ID changes according to what modus you are using:
* Bus 001 Device 016: ID 0421:04f0 Nokia Mobile Phones - PC Suite (nm-tool does not recognize the device as modem (and of course neither does the nm-applet either), although it does get recognized by hal as a V.250 modem, so wvdial does make a connection with the phone as modem) * Bus 001 Device 017: ID 0421:04ed Nokia Mobile Phones - Data transfer (Nautilus shows up, everything is fine) * Bus 001 Device 018: ID 0421:04ee Nokia Mobile Phones - Image Print (Gnome asks me If I want to use F-spot in order to get my pictures out of the device, but F-spot does not manage to "lock" the device and it does not work) * Bus 001 Device 021: ID 0421:04ef Nokia Mobile Phones - Media player (Rhythmbox manages to see the phone and can access it when the MTP plugin is activated) It seems to me as if you choose the first option and the device is recognized as a modem and not a media player unit. Maybe you can check trhat out? I'm running intrepid updated as of yesterday. -- HAL FDI rules lack product_id for Nokia N95-3 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/262537 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
