My system is Ubuntu 8.04 + Dell Vostro v1400. Touchpad on my notebook is very sensitive too. I made some investigations and found that FingerPress option is ignored by the driver. With the option FingerHigh set to the value below 40, touchpad reacts on the every press even with a little pressure. If it's set to the value 40 and above, I have to tap havily and move my finger on touchpad to generate a lick action.
