Why not? For me it is the same problem. What does the information about the rewrite change? There is a problem which is there regardless the fact if it has been reintroduced by patch or by rewrite. And it is exactly the same problem as described in this report. I can't find any version information in this ticket and I can't possibly know about a rewrite. So what is your suggestion again? Closing the bug without reopening another one that fits you better? That means, I have to wait for the next rewrite and hope that the bug won't be reintroduced then?
