Binary package hint: linux-source-2.6.17
When I try to boot linux-image-2.6.17-4-386 or -3, the computer hangs at
waiting for root partition and then I get a shell and ls shows that
/dev/hda1 doesn't exist. 2.6.15 works fine. My root partition is hda1
and my ide controller is listed as "0000:00:1f.1 IDE interface: Intel
Corporation 82801DB (ICH4) IDE Controller (rev 02)" by lspci.
