Public bug reported: Binary package hint: evolution
If I want to automatically sign messages in Evolution, it needs to have seahorse-agent running. Seahorse-agent is not running when the system is first installed. Further, the name "seahorse" isn't visible in any menu -- it's called "Encryption Key Manager". An end-user, when first using Evolution and signing a message, has to figure this out by themselves, run the inobviously-named Encryption Key Manager, go into preferences, find the part that talks about the seahorse-agent, run the seahorse-agent program (there's a button for it at least), and is then told to manually add the seahorse-agent to the startup programs. Couldn't we do that for the end-user upon installing Evolution? Seeing as how it's what Evolution needs anyway.... ** Affects: evolution (Ubuntu) Importance: Untriaged Status: Unconfirmed -- Evolution requires seahorse-agent, but not set up by default https://launchpad.net/bugs/51500 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
