Public bug reported: Binary package hint: hal-device-manager
My mobile phone is a Motorola RAZR V3X. It has a mini-SD memory card. The phone is on the settingof "storage device" so the memory should just come up as a generic storage drive. Using the phone like this works fine with XP. When I plug the phone in with Ubuntu dapper, it is mounted fine and I can copy files to the drive. The problem occurs when I try to unmount it. The drive is never unmounted. The popup saying "removing device" "writing data to storage device usbdisk" "please do not remove the device while this operation is in progress". This popup never finished. If I look at top I can see the processes still running are: usb-storage umount hald-addon-storage I am very willing to attach any more relevant needed to help with this bug, Thanks, Lex. ** Affects: hal (Ubuntu) Importance: Untriaged Status: Unconfirmed -- Will not unmount Motorola RAZR V3X mobile phone's miniSD flash card. https://launchpad.net/bugs/50859 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
