The resolution, before and after upgrade, is 1280x1024. The driver is whatever driver got installed. I installed breezy ubuntu desktop from scratch and it just worked. The upgrade has caused a few display problems, including the impossibility of switching resolution (see bug 50504)
FWIW, the graphical 'System Monitor' app shows 20% cpu usage at idle, but in breezy it was only 5%. With the terminal program 'top', the cpu at idle is 4%. I think the 20% is for updating the three history charts. It's like the drivers (or whatever) are suddenly less efficient. -- upgrade to dapper causes display slow-down https://launchpad.net/bugs/50503 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
