Public bug reported: Binary package hint: bittorrent
When opening the file debian-testing-amd64-binary-x.ist (x being any of the binary cd numbers for debian) in bittorrent or ktorrent (and probably bittornado, I haven't tried), an error occurs, and the download fails. In ktorrent, this causes an immediate crash of the program, and whenever ktorrent is restarted, an error message appears: "Cannot create /debian-testing-amd64-binary-2.iso: Permission denied." (I attempted to download to the home folder, not root). I admit, this is a very odd problem. Other notes: dpkg-reconfigure ktorrent removes the error message This bug only seems to apply to debian-testing-amd64-binary-x.iso.torrent files. Other debian cds don't seem to have problems. ** Affects: bittorrent (Ubuntu) Importance: Untriaged Status: Unconfirmed -- bittorrent refuses to download debian-testing-amd64-binary-x.iso files https://launchpad.net/bugs/50656 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
