No, I understood perfectly. I'm merely stressing that debconf is unusual and different from other packages providing Python module. I repeat, I do not want to diverge from Debian on this point until we can use python-support/python-central rather than having to use /usr/lib/pythonX.Y/site-packages. The extra file is harmless.
