Public bug reported:
I cannot edit the menu in xfce4-menueditor in xubuntu. If I try to edit
an existing entry, the menu editor just disappears. If I try to add a
new entry and then save it, my entire menu is blanked and I cannot get
the menu on screen until I copy the menu.xml from /etc/xdg/xfce4/desktop
to my home .config/xfce4/desktop. This happens on my desktop AMD
AthlonXP +2200 and IBM A20M laptop installations of xubuntu.
