to /etc/apt/sources.list, do an update/upgrade and set up your printer normally (not with Raw/Queue driver, but your Vendor/Model). Please, report results. Those who have /dev/usb/lp0 are using wrong kernel. Please install linux-686 (or -386 or -k7 or...) package.
