A case where this is clearly obvious is xchat-gnome. There is no dependency whatsoever on libenchant, not even as a suggested one. Yet xchat-gnome uses libenchant for spellchecking.
Result: going to Edit>Preferences>Spell Checking, the list languages for which spellchecking is available is empty. In order to be able to perform spell-checking, the user has to know that xchat-gnome uses libenchant, which has to be installed manually at the moment. IMHO this should be handled automatically. -- libsexy2 should depend on libenchant1c2a https://launchpad.net/bugs/48513 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
