I think the problem resides in the i810 driver. It isn't just the wacom/gimp problem on its own, I've been experiencing more problems than just my problem with gimp when I use the dualscreen setup-configuration. It seems i'm unable to view dvd's with totem (just dvd's) when the dualscreen is activated .. while it does work when I'm not using that dualscreen setup. (I use another config-file when I don't need the dualscreen setup, since ubuntu is unable to detect whether the screen is attached to my laptop or not.) The problem doesn't seem to go away when I disable xinerama (and just use the dualscreen functions of the i810 driver). Which makes me more confident that the problem is situated in the i810 driver.
