Public bug reported: Binary package hint: nautilus
Attempt to open a remote folder over SSH with nautilus. Nautilus freezes (all windows and the desktop icons). "killall nautilus" is required (which the average user won't know, they'd need a restart). Nautilus just freezes immediately after activating the desktop icon or nautilus bookmark for the remote folder. IIRC, I was actually asked for my remote password before it froze one time, but usually it freezes immediately after activating the folder icon. This happens with bookmarks to SSH folders and with desktop icons I've created through the Places->Connect to Server. This didn't happen on the same machine before upgrading to dapper, although I did have this bug: https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+bug/45382 ** Affects: nautilus (Ubuntu) Importance: Untriaged Status: Unconfirmed -- Dapper - nautilus freezes when opening a remote folder https://launchpad.net/bugs/49452 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
