Dear colleagues and collaborators, We are hosting the 2020 IEEE Humans and Cyber Security (HACS-2020) workshop from 1st to 3rd December 2020 (Virtual Event), and invite original and unpublished papers in the field of human centric cyber security. Humans And Cyber Security (HACS2020) workshop (Virtual Event) The 2020 IEEE Humans and Cyber Security (HACS-2020) workshop will be co-hosted with IEEE CIC (Collaboration and Internet Computing), IEEE CogMI (Cognitive Machine Intelligence) and IEEE TPS (Trust, Privacy and Security of Intelligence Systems, and Applications) from 1st to 3rd of December 2020. This will be the second HACS workshop that we host. Target audience: PhD students, early career researchers and experts focusing on the human behavioural aspects involved in cyber security. Call for papers We invite the submission of papers in the field of human centric cyber security. Submissions should be original and include previously unpublished work including early results on all aspects of human centric cyber security. It is time to focus on a cyber security approach that not just protects infrastructures and, as a result, put shields to keep humans out of the loop, but also on what the humans feel, face and go through when they experience and interact with those infrastructures. Humans play a critical role in cyber security: as the creator of the systems, as a user of the systems, and occasionally as an abuser of the systems. The 2020 Humans and Cyber Security (HACS-2020) will provide a forum where researchers and technical parties interested in humans and cyber security can share their latest research insights, and present key and emerging results in terms of this field. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to: - Human centric cyber security - Human behavior in cyber security - Cyber psychology and cyber security - Human-machine interaction/collaboration from a security/privacy perspective - Usable security/privacy by design - Constructing user-centric privacy and security in mobile and IoT applications - Usability of online security indicators - Usable guidelines for security and privacy - Consumers’ views on privacy and security - Case studies in usable security and privacy (both successful and unsuccessful case studies) - Ethical and policy dimensions related to human centric cyber security - Human cyber security issues, such as phishing, social engineering, insider threats, etc. Submission process The 2020 Humans and Cyber Security (HACS-2020) workshop call for original and unpublished papers. Each paper can have at most 8 pages. The reviews will be double-blind. The manuscripts should be formatted in the standard IEEE proceedings format (double-column, 10-pt font), which can be found at https://www.ieee.org/conferences_events/conferences/publishing/templates.html. Manuscripts should be submitted as PDF files through the EasyChair website: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=hacs2020. The workshop papers will be published as part of the IEEE CIC proceedings. Important dates - Abstracts due: Sept. 12, 2020 - Submission deadline: Sept. 20, 2020 - Acceptance notification: Oct. 20, 2020 - Camera-ready: Nov. 4, 2020 Registration All registrations will be handled by the IEEE CIC organizers.
