Dear Colleagues, Two fully Ph.D. positions as well as several fully fund internship are potentially available from 2019 in the field of Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning at the BMW Group, the Department of Research, New Technologies, and Innovations, (Research E/E Architectures, Technologies), in Munich, Germany.
We seek for talented students who highly motivated to earn a doctorate or complete master thesis in areas such as * Robotics * Robot Learning * Active Visio-Tactile Perception and Learning * Transfer Learning in Deep Learning * Transfer Learning Reinforcement Learning * Visio-Tactile Navigation and Path Planning * Semantic Reasoning Requirements for the Ph.D. positions: * You have a master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Robotics, Computer Science, Engineering including e.g. Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, Statistics & Optimization, Math and Physics). * You have a proven programming skills, in particular C++ and/or Python. * You have hands-on experience with frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, openCV, etc. * You are fluent in English. Note: Your publication at one of the top international conference (ICRA, IROS, NIPS, etc.,..) or high-rank journals in robotics, AI, and machine learning (TRO, Autonomous Robots, RA-L, IJRR, ..) is a strong merit. Requirements for the internship/master thesis: * You are in your second year of master program in electrical engineering, computer science, math, and physics. * You have already passed some relevant courses a relevant field such as statistical signal processing, information theory, machine learning, robotics, and etc.,… with top grades. * You have a provable programming skills in particular C++ and/or Python. * You are fluent in English.
