I'll second his tutorial - it's great for the beginner *and* he also happens to contribute to/moderate this list. The best thing to do is pick a tutorial (like Alan's, perhaps) and start working through it. When you hit a wall, and can't figure out what something is doing, send an email. Often, just the act of trying to phrase your question will end out giving you the insight you need. I can't tell you how many dozens of emails I've started and then discarded because I ended out figuring it out on my own. If you show that you've worked on a problem, but you simply got stuck, you'll find that *many* people on this list will offer *tons* of good advice. HTH, Wayne
