But you can try this book that I´ve been reading: Dive Into Python: http://www.diveintopython.org/ (you can download the PDF from there, which I belive has already a group of exemples to see when using the book). Also I´ve been reading the Python Wikibook that you can download from here: http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Python (it still has a few parts missing but it can give you a few pointers).
