Title: changes in /etc/default/keyboard not loaded Status in xorg package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: Description: Ubuntu 15.04 Release: 15.04 Variant: Xubuntu What you expected to happen: Changes in /etc/default/keyboard to be effective. What happened instead: Nothing. ex: File : /etc/default/keyboard # KEYBOARD CONFIGURATION FILE # Consult the keyboard(5) manual page. XKBMODEL="pc105" XKBLAYOUT="fr" XKBVARIANT="latin9" XKBOPTIONS="altwin:ctrl_alt_win" BACKSPACE="guess" Nothing happens after boot. (but setxkbmap -option alt win:ctrl_alt_win does works) Suggestion : -Remove /etc/default/keyboard as it doesn't seems to serve any purpose other than misleading people. -Make somehow working as it should.
