After digging for a while in QtMir's code, the code path described by the stacktrace seems ok too.
One notable thing: according to errors.ubuntu.com the issue started happening first on 4th of August, which is when a refactoring of the code in question landed in qtmir. Could not manually reproduce the issue yet. The stack trace says it happens when an application is closed by the user, or at least a ApplicationManager.stopApplication() call is issued from qml. That could also be when shutting down the phone and closeAllApps() is called. ** Changed in: unity8 (Ubuntu) Status: Invalid => New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to unity8 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1489072 Title: /usr/bin/unity8:11:LauncherModel::applicationRemoved:LauncherModel::qt_static_metacall:QMetaObject::activate:QMetaObject::activate:QAbstractItemModel::rowsAboutToBeRemoved Status in QtMir: New Status in unity8 package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: The Ubuntu Error Tracker has been receiving reports about a problem regarding unity8.
