It would allow to use and temporarily modify a linux system without actually changing it. Or to have a root file system on a squashfs compressed file. regards Hadmut ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 10.04 Package: initramfs-tools 0.92bubuntu78 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.32-24.38-generic 2.6.32.15+drm33.5 Uname: Linux 2.6.32-24-generic i686 Architecture: i386 Date: Fri Jul 30 23:38:21 2010 PackageArchitecture: all ProcEnviron: PATH=(custom, user) LANG=de_DE.utf8 SHELL=/bin/tcsh SourcePackage: initramfs-tools To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/initramfs-tools/+bug/611873/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~touch-packages Post to : touch-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~touch-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
