Public bug reported: The bug reported by others and reported fixed in May only began affecting me this month (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/systemd/+bug/1432171/comments/27). I suspect that the fix for other people's issues has caused my issue.
Going to Advanced Options and booting the upstart version doesn't help. I've done the apt-get install upstart-sysv suggested as a fix. That does make a difference, but subsequently it appears to get lost looking for a graphics driver. It asks to use a default graphic mode, but then the screen goes blank and nothing seems to happen. I am running 15.04 with all the latest patches (up to about a week ago, when this stopped me using the system) installed. ** Affects: systemd (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to systemd in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1478204 Title: ACPI 219 -> boot failure Status in systemd package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: The bug reported by others and reported fixed in May only began affecting me this month (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/systemd/+bug/1432171/comments/27).
