Setting status to confirmed since someone other than the reporter has encountered the bug.
For reference, what happened to me is that after I unlocked my desktop, the "You have unsaved files, do you want to lock screen or log out" window was superimposed on my desktop, darkening windows underneath it with a gradient. I could interact with other windows, but couldn't interact with the lock/unlock dialog in any way. I tried using xkill to kill it, but this just clicked underneath the window and killed either Nautilus or whatever else gets killed if you select the desktop with xkill. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to unity in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1427795 Title: the lock screen/log out window is stuck rendering desktop unusable Status in Unity: Confirmed Status in unity package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: After locking the screen via ctrl-alt-del, upon unlocking it, the "Hi $user, you have open files that you might want to save before logging out" is stuck in the middle of the screen.
