In the browser, I enter the URL HTTP://www.ubuntu.com. Expected behaviour: fixes case, takes me to Ubuntu website. Actual behaviour: does a Google search for "HTTP://www.ubuntu.com". Impact: it's awkward to scan QR codes that give me URLs in all caps, which is how I discovered the issue. Workaround: edit the HTTP to http manually. But after the Google search, editing the URL is awkward because the URL changes to one suitable for the Google search.
