The UI never updated to show the event, but a notification did happen at the time of the event. The phone suspended, unlocked the phone. The app appeared sluggish so I checked top and the qmlscene process for the app was over 100% and evolution-calendar-factory was at around 60-80%. I killed the app and the processes stopped using cpu. Restarted the app and the sync'd event was displayed and cpu was normal.
