Purece Bálint, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If so, could you please test for this with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/ .
If it remains an issue, could you please run the following command in the development release from a Terminal as it will automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this report: apport-collect -p xorg 1406612 Please ensure you have xdiagnose installed, and that you click the Yes button for attaching additional debugging information. Status in xorg package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: I have an Acer Extensa 5620, with GMA x3100 video chipset. When using Chrome or Chromium to play videos on Youtube the screen goes completely black and I could not revive it. The audio is played during this. I have been using Xubuntu and Chrome for about a year, and have only been experiencing this for a few months. As I recall this came in around the upgrade that brought in the little icon in the status bar, that shows Chrome running in the background even when the windows are closed. I tried reinstalling the newest LTS Xubuntu (14.04), still no good. With Firefox it works just fine. I guess it could be something about hardware acceleration, but it is a shot in the dark. So summarized: I tried to play Youtube videos on Chrome and Chromium. I was expecting it to playback as it had for years before. It did not, the screen went all black, audio started playing, and I could not bring the screen back to showing anything. This has happened a dozen times, and always happens when trying again. Thanks!
