Sometimes, when the desktop is visible, I can move the cursor and it switch from the arrow to the click-to-type cursor, perhaps indicating I'm mousing over a field I can type in. However, clicking this and then typing my password then <Alt> + u does not unlock the screen as it normally should. To address this issue, I'll usually go to a terminal (<Ctrl> + <Alt> + <F1>) and type "unity" after logging in. This works about 10% of the time. This bug affects me about 40% of the time I suspend so it's quite problematic.
