Hi there, I am now running a different version of Ubuntu (Precise) and no longer have this problem. Since I took a break from MyPaint since my initial post, I did not observe when this was solved either - sorry. Not sure what I should mark this as.

I was trying to change my shortcuts to the ones I previously had. I expected that when I hovered the cursor over any menu item and press my desired shortcut key, the shortcut would change to whatever key I pressed. It did not do anything, so I could not adjust any of my shortcuts. I did not see any errors in the terminal output.
