Incidentally, I did get a warning when launching ptyxis with GSK_RENDERER=ngl that "ngl" is deprecated in favour of "gl" so I'll use that in the workaround (unless there's any reason to use the deprecated value? Would this matter for snaps using older libs?)

When the application is maximized on a 1920x1080 screen, ptyxis initially displays everything correctly (vim within tmux, including various indicators at the bottom right of the terminal); this is 1.png. However, splitting the vim window to display two buffers results in ptyxis failing to display the characters beyond a certain row of the terminal; 2.png. Scrolling around the file, the row of the terminal beyond which output fails is not fixed, which makes me think this is some sort of timing bug. However, despite not displaying the characters themselves, ptyxis does appear to display the *background* colours of those cells (are background cells drawn first then characters on top?).
